JUNIORS BENEFITS:

• Tee times on the course at the discretion of the professional staff (certain times will be allocated for juniors during quieter times with times reserved for comps. Once on full tariff in year 3 then unlimited tee times)

CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP:

• All members must be available on a certain date at the start of golf season for introduction to the club with Steve
  
• Introduction will consist of all 20 kids walking 3 - 6 holes of the course with Steve. 2 kids will play the holes and during the walk all aspect of rules and etiquette will be covered.
  
• Introduction will also cover show round of facilities and explanation of the workings of the club, dress code, shop hours etc. Steve
  
• A lot of conditions are yet to be discussed, this will take some time, example = when juniors are allowed in bar, no use of buggies, tee times available, cost of package etc.
  ( Clearly the scheme is in initial stage just now - more details to follow)

Roxburghe Golf Club Junior fixture List 2011

• Saturday 16th April 2pm
  
• Saturday 21st May 2pm
  
• Saturday 11th June 2pm
  
• Saturday 9th July 2pm
  
• Saturday 20th August 2pm
  
• Saturday 17th September 2pm

Initially all competitions will be 9 holes. Once the junior section is underway and the ability of each player is found it will be at the discretion of the Professional as to who will be allowed to upgrade to 18 hole competitions.

Juniors with no handicap will be allowed to play for their handicap at the Roxburghe golf course. Once handicaps have been established the following levels of golfer will play from the tees indicated:

• Handicap 54 – 36 = Green Tees
  
• Handicap 35 – 20 = Red Tees (all girls with handicap of 35 and below)
  
• Handicap 19 – 0 = Yellow Tees

At the Professionals discretion junior golfers who show the ability and etiquette will be permitted to play in adult 18 hole competitions:
Boys permitted to enter adult competitions will play from the White Tees
Girls permitted to enter adult competitions will play from the Red Tees

Junior golfers who already have an official handicap MUST provide a handicap certificate before entering their first Roxburghe competition.

ALL JUNIOR GOLF INFORMATION, MEDAL INFORMATION, COACHING INFORMATION, TEAM INFORMATION ETC WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE JUNIOR NOTICE BOARD IN THE MAIN HALL IN THE CLUBHOUSE
