Golf Tuition at Roxburghe Golf Club
Steve Johnston is the coaching professional at Roxburghe Golf Course.
Steve provides coaching on an individual basis (one to one) for 1/2 hour session up to one and a half hour sessions. These individual lessons are available to everyone, gents, ladies, kids, beginners and experienced golfers. Steve will focus on any part of the game of golf and on the longer sessions more than one element is coached.
Steve also offers 'playing lesson' which consist of a 1/2 hour session on the range followed by a 9 hole lesson on the course which covers, technique, long game, short game, specialist lies, mind games and course management.
As well as individual coaching Steve can provide group clinics in 1 hour sessions covering:
- Husband and Wife sessions
- Family sessions
- Ladies sessions
- Gents sessions
- Junior sessions (boys, girls or mixed)
GOLF TUITION BREAKS
Roxburghe Hotel Tuition Breaks for hotel residents are very comprehensive and great value. They consist of one hour in the short-game area followed by one hour on the driving range working on swing mechanics. Lunch is then served in the clubhouse followed by a 9 hole playing lesson. JUNIOR GOLF CAMPS
The Roxburghe Golf Club holds Junior Golf Camps during the summer holidays. These covers the whole golf swing over a period of two weeks (Mon, Wed, Fri for 1 hour, twice per day for a fortnight). Steve uses a method called �The Backward Chaining Method� which starts with the shortest movement in the swing and continues over the weeks to construct the entire golf swing.
WORKING WITH THE LOCAL GOLF COMMUNITY
Steve also coach kids from local golf courses as part of their further education from the coaching they receive at their home courses. Earlier this year he organised several coaching sessions with the girls team from Kelso Golf Club. These were well received and the team has reported good improvements all round.
